Pre–school 3 to 5 years of age
At pre-school age the children are ready for a more structured day following curriculum guidelines. Each member of staff has their own group of children which they work closely with, thus monitoring their development and assessing each child’s individual needs. Long, medium and short term planning is in place and topics are planned with the OFSTED early learning goals in mind. Government-funded places are available. Outside play in the nursery garden is a regular part of the daily routine. We also have access to the school playing fields. A parents’/carers’ evening is held annually.

Rachel, Vicky, Sue, Juliet, Teresa, Donna, and all at HGS, Thank you so much for all you’ve done for Ben and Ollie over the last four years. They’ve always been very happy at nursery and every day came home with great stories of what’s happened. They are growing up to be kind, (fairly) well mannered and patient boys – and I think that’s down to you as much as us. And of course they’ve got a great repertoire of song and dance numbers as well.
