Baby Room 3 months to 14 months of age
Often the parents’/carers’ first point of contact with the nursery. Staff are friendly, supportive and sensitive to new families’ needs, helping both parents/carers and children into a new environment.
Babies are given a warm, homely, stimulating environment in which they feel happy and secure. Each baby’s individual needs and routines are catered for. Parents/carers and staff work closely together to ensure that both baby and parents/carers are happy. Babies are taken outside for walks and play regularly, weather permitting.
Activities are provided (please see activity file) and regularly evaluated to suit each child’s differing needs, e.g. drawing, painting, water play, music, singing, books and lots of one-to-one attention.
Weekly planning is in place and records of achievement are kept on each child and shared with the parent/carer.
Toddler Room 14 months to 2 years of age
At this stage, children have grown out of morning sleeps and are ready for more stimulating activities to keep their busy minds and bodies active.
Weekly planning of activities is in place, including sand, water, painting, clay, sticking, story time, action songs and nursery rhymes. They have outdoor play every day, and are encouraged to share and take turns. Records of achievement are continued from the Baby Room, and activities are evaluated and adapted accordingly. A parents’/carers’ evening is held annually.

Thank you so much for everything over the past four years. Abbey and Katie have both loved being part of your nursery. As a mum you worry about your children and how they are progressing in life, but from the moment I left them with you, I stopped worrying. You all do a fantastic job and we appreciate it. We will miss you all so much. A great big thank you. Love from Hayley and Gary, Abbey and Katie
